Privacy

The short version: your choices stay in your browser unless you choose to share them. Here's exactly how that works.

What's stored, and where

When you mark a question Yes, No, or Still deciding, here or on the values quiz, that choice is saved using your browser's built-in local storage, on your device only. It is not sent to any server I operate, and there's no account system, so there's nothing to log into and nothing tied to your name or identity.

This also means your choices don't follow you between devices or browsers automatically. A choice saved on your laptop won't appear on your phone unless you move it there yourself: by printing your cheat sheet, using the share feature, or just making your choices again on the other device.

What happens when you share

The "Share" buttons on this site build a plain-text summary or an image of your choices, on your own device, and hand it to your device's native share screen (or copy it to your clipboard), the same way any app shares a photo or a link. Nothing is sent to me in that process; I don't see what you share or who you share it with. Where it goes after that is entirely up to you and whatever app you choose from the share screen.

Analytics

This site uses two analytics tools to understand how many people visit and which pages get read, never which questions you personally answered, since those choices never leave your browser in the first place (see above).

Vercel Analytics counts visits and page views without cookies and without collecting anything that identifies you individually.

Google Analytics (GA4) gives a fuller picture: things like which pages are popular and roughly where visitors are coming from. It does use cookies and collects some technical details (browser type, device, approximate location from IP address), but not your name or anything tied to your identity. If you'd rather not be counted, most browsers let you block this under privacy settings, or you can install Google's opt-out browser add-on.

What this site doesn't do

Clearing your data

The cheat sheet page has a "Clear all saved choices" option, which deletes everything stored in your browser for this site. You can also clear it yourself through your browser's site settings/data controls at any time.
